I graduate school today and am supposed to start with Roehl in a week or two. My question is, I had a physical this week that found blood in my urine. The number they gave me was 250. What does this number mean? What could have caused this? I go for a follow up on monday, but am very nervous. Other than that there were no problems. Thanks in advance for any insight you might offer. J

Hello and Welcome to the Site:)
Your doctor is being cautious to make sure that there are no serious causes for the presence of blood.
Here are some links that may help:

Thanks for the posts so far. Lots of helpful information. I guess I wont stress too much until I see the doc on monday. I guess from Roehls perspective, its better to be safe than sorry!!

He did not provide enough information to know what scale the 250 was drawn on. It could be, RBC (red blood cell count)/WBC (white blood cell ct) or even blood sugar....
If he is on antibiotics, then it would probably be an infection.

It could also be "benign familial hematuria," or something that runs in the family. But you'll have to get the "test" done to show that. You may need to be tested anyway.
