Yeah, that makes sense.
I just happen to use the doctor/med center that Dahlsten uses here in town. Maybe that's why they're not having me redo my physical. I'll just have to ask next weekend.
Cost of DOT physical.

Read the first post.........................
A company is NOT furnishing his physical, he is not employed.
He just wants the cost.........................
How hard is this ??? -
-
$15 here at the community health center, if you furnish the forms !!!
-
I put it in my post or I'm pretty sure I did wait while I go check............... yep I did! $85 including the pee test!
Maybe we do get a little long winded in here but then maybe it's because there are a few truck drivers and you know how truckers ramble on at the mouth! We just love the sounds of our voices!
BUT, he didn't say the company wasn't giving him a physical, he just doesn't have one and asked the cost. If it was me I'd hold off till he contacted companies about the job and wait for them to tell him to come in for the orienation but ask before he heads out if he's paying or if they are! Heck they might even tell them how much their guy charges!Raiderfanatic Thanks this. -

Lookin at Roehl but my concern is the ATLAS wellness test. I am 56 weigh 230, normal blood pressures runs between 120 to 130 over 70 to 90. When I excersize it jumps to 179 over 90. Will that cause me to be sent home even if I have allready passed the DOT?

High BP at the time of the test (stress, caffeine, etc,) high blood glucose (over 160 mg/dl - I think), risk for sleep apnea (depends on the company,) old injuries, etc. There's a lot of things. If you have anything in your medical background its best to have documentation from your doctor explaining your status. Don't forget his phone numbers!
Also, anything you've glossed over in your MVR, employment and criminal histories. If they're any good at all they'll find out about it, so it's best to be up front about everything. At my carrier, they employ ex-state police and ex-fbi types who go over your history during orientation. Make sure you bring everything you need to complete whatever forms you did to get invited to orientation - you're going to fill them all out again, so all your employment date info, phone numbers, references etc. need to be with you.
