I just got hired at schwans foods for a sales/delivery route. The truck is under 26000 lbs so you don't need a cdl, nor do I have one. Thursday of last week I went in and took a non dot drug test. Today I had to take what was basically a lifting and balance physical. They also took my blood pressure and pulse. Tomorrow I have a dot physical. A friend of mine told me that they do blood pressure, vision, hearing, reflexes, and drug test you again. I just thought it was weird/waste of money that they would do blood pressure and another drug test since I've had both of them in the last 4 days at the same clinic.

Could someone clarify for me what they do at a dot physical for a non cdl driver?

Actually it should be the same physical, blood pressure, hearing, eyes, grab and cough, wee wee test, bend down, (not over), some companies require additional back x-rays etc.
