Recommendations for seat cushions?

I thought it would be nice to decrease pressure to the back as much as possible in the seat. Is there some kind of net-device that decreases pressure as well as preventing close contact that creates sweat?

I'm sure someone will come up with it, but there is one I have seen sold at chrome shops and places like Truck Pro that is an air filled cushion. I used one for a while and it helped out a little. For sweat issues, the beaded seat cushions were OK. Nothing really helped it all until I broke down and bought a Bostrom Wide Ride seat.

Anymore, my LaZBoy is my seat cushion. :biggrin_25525:

There used to be an outfit that made "bubble chamber" seat cushions for truckers, that were ruggedized versions of their medical equipment (wheelchair) models.

Not sure if they're still in production, but they sure worked great. (The design felt like sitting on a thin waterbed... no pressure points)

Blackhawk, maybe? Raven? Something like that.

No. A section of swimming pool air mattress won't work. It would feel like either sitting on a beach ball, or nothing at all when the lowest point of your body makes contact. Airhawk cushions are like bubble wrap, with the chambers connected by a network of valved tubes so it stays "equally full" (for lack of a better term) over its entire surface. They were developed by the medical industry and are more complicated in design and materials than most people expect. You do get what you pay for.

I used a lumbar support device like the cool mesh back support system. It worked for me and was breathable and cool.
