ok..wait a minute..if you are in off duty..how is it affecting your drive time..you splitting your drive line?
I'm confuzzled on that one..
If you are/were on a ten hour break..and it runs into 11 hours off duty the you still get all your drive time when you go back on duty..
I never split my drive/on duty time..If I was waiting for two hours after driving for 30 minutes..just left me 12 hours of my 14 to drive 11 hours...so your comment there has me scratchin my head

Prior to arriving at the repower location, I had already driven 230 miles. Once my off duty time was used up, my on duty time started going away.
It turns out, I sat there for 8 hours before the repower arrived, and didn't have enough hours left to make the run to Concord, NC. I sat for another 2 hours until I completed a 10, and then ran the load in.
Sorry for the confusion. I left out the portion that I had already driven 230 miles. -
Well it did, and it didn't.
The re-power took so long to get there, I had to stay an extra 2 hours before I could leave.
The re-power was not for me, it was for these other guys who live in the Miami area. I ended up with the short end of the stick on that one.
Anyway, I put in for lay-over pay as the re-power location was being treated as a shipper.sammycat and docholaday Thank this. -
Bumpin' the thread.
Haven't gone dark, just real busy.
Went from nights, to days, to real early days, now back to nights. Will be heading to Ohio from PA with a night run. I'll update soon

Must be hard to switch 'shifts' like that -I know I always hated going from days to nights and back again-your body doesn't know if it's coming or going!!
Just posted the same thing basically on Markus's thread as he has not posted in 4 days- that hopefully he was just busy getting lots of miles.Wedge Thanks this. -
Hello Everyone.
Nothing like a 34 hour reset.
I picked up this load yesterday morning in Rolla, MO headed for Bloomington, MN, and had a choice: Drop it today in St. Louis today and move on to another load, or run it in to the receiver on Monday. Well, I've been backed up against my 70 hour clock for about 3 weeks now, and with only getting back 3 hrs, 4 hrs, and 4 hrs respectively, I elected to take the 34 reset, start with a fresh 70 on Sunday, and then run the load into the receiver.
So I'm sitting back and enjoying the break here in Altoona, IA at the Flying J, catching up on paperwork, TTR, and then it's shopping to pick up some needed supplies.
This is going to be my last post on this thread. I've decided that as I post mostly about my days working for USX, it was about time I started a thread in the USX section. My experiences may prove of value to those looking to sign on with USX.
Here's the link:
Driving OTR with US Xpress
If it doesn't work, the thread is located under Motor Carriers: the Inside Scoop/ US Xpress.
So see you on the other thread.
Thanks for reading
