Some will pay a penny or 2 more. Not sure of the avg %. I dropped my haz-mat when it went from 5 bucks to over 100 bucks. If the co wants me to haul it they can pay for the endorsement. I know of one that does. Too me it is not worth it. To many headaches with the load, and haz-mat placard catches the eye of too many people.

Agree. It also depends what you haul. If you're only hauling general freight and have a hazmat endors. I doubt it will pay any more. However if you work strictly for a hazardous hauler you might make more.

Some carriers do Haz, but only maybe 10-20% of their hauls. In theory, you the driver gets more $$$. But, today, a ton of companies don't mess with Haz loads, so there is work available if you don't want the hassle.

Yes, at least at US X. 1 penny more and they reimburse you the cost up to 100. This also applies if they are your first place of employment after getting it. Plus it opens up extra runs.

Prime pays an extra $50 (flat fee) for hazmat loads now. They require that you get the endorsement if you're going to drive for them. It does give you another option in getting a load - especially out of the east coast - so its valuable just for that.

Heartland pays .01 cpm for all miles if you have Hazmat.
But it is very rare that they haul any.
The big thing it will do is open doors. Some company's will not hire drivers that do not have it. Like Crete.

It's good to have. Puts one more step above everyone else. If there is a hazmat load guess who gets it? It's not really that much more pay but it does give you the ability to haul more diverse loads and stay rolling.
