felony friendly companies???

Try Benny Whitehead Inc., Carolina Cargo and MAYBE CCC.

The guy who came to speak to us about CCC gave the impression they might take someone under certain circumstances.

Benny Whitehead and Carolina Cargo will apparently take convicted felons. Please don't quote me in your friends situation, but Carolina took three guys from our class who had felony convictions for marijuana.

 

So yeah, lock up the felons, they did the crime and deserve to do the time. Punishments are meant to be harsh and lasting reminders that crime is not a good way to get by.

More genralizing! I have a 2nd degree assualt conviction from 2000 which is a class C felony. Now let me explain. My sister was married to a truck driver he beat the crap out of her and slapped their 9 year old son when he tried to stop his dad from punching his mother in the face. She left him and moved to the town I was living in. Her husband came up to her house on his home time and started more crap telling her he would never let her get a divorce he would kill her first. The police came to her house and told him to leave would not arrest him for anything because this time he had not put his hands on her. She called me I went over to her house he showed back up and took a swing at me in her front yard. I then beat the message into him to leave my sister alone. When he called the police they came and asked me what had happened I told them exactly what had happened and was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assualt. He was not even arrested because he lied and said he never took a swing at me. By him not making contact I had no proof.
So you generalizing me with every other felon i.e. drug dealers, murderers, rapists etc means every trucker should be labeled as a wife beater? I think not! Just for the record I have never done an illegal drug in my life!! I have been known to drink a few beers every now and then but if / when they outlaw that I will stop that too.
Oh and I have made a pretty #### good living in my current field enough of a nice living I have been thinking about going back otr because I can afford the pay cut until I pay my dues again. And no I am not thinking about going back otr because it is a last resort in life, but because it is actually a job I enjoyed very much.
I have had no problems getting offers from a few different companies and I am currently in the process of weighing my options on if I am sure i want to do this now and if so which offer I am going to accept.

 

so.... let's forget that this turned into a matter of whether felons should be allowed to drive and get back to the original question - what are the felony-friendly companies? In my case I think I'm okay because it's been over 10 years, where the cutoff seems to be 7 years for most companies I've seen.

Prime 7 years from date sentence was completed
Covenant 10 years
ffe 10 years
southern refrigerated trans 5 years
the list goes on and on all of these were found in a matter of a few seconds by searching on google and clicking on one of the many sites that pop up under truck driving jobs. I would say which one but not sure it is allowed here. Not saying I am sure all of these will hire just saying what I found with in a few seconds. One would have to contact each company and ask as they may have changed hiring practices since that site was updated. Also as has been mentioned numerous times it will depend on what the felony is and how long ago it occured.

 

Well personally I was looking for someone with specific knowledge that company x definitely hires ex felons... Anyone can say they do, whether they actually do is another story.

Like I said, most companies seem to be around 7 years, but wondering whether there are any new hires that are ex felons as proof of the claims.

Take no offense at my remark, but as a caution to everyone, dont give the police any reason to arrest you by telling them a story these days. Be polite with the police, but silent, except to demand that you want to speak to your attorney.

If you do not heed this advice this same thing could happen to you. If you are innocent, it might be time to NOT take a plea bargain, depending on the circumstances of your case.

A felony conviction will/could cost you a good 7 seven to ten years of no trucking with most decent outfits. No offence intended or implyed and that goes for the police here as well. Its a new day out there in post 9/11 USA.

 

So every felony is life without parole? Eye for an Eye, tooth for a tooth justice. Sweet,too bad I didn't know you people in WI felt that way when I encountered that WI 4-wheeler driver a couple of years back the sideswiped my pickup. I should have beat him to death for a minor infraction.

 

Worse is these morons want to turn everything into a felony. Just for the record, I am not a felon......................yet.
