That's what Gary did - I still had to pay though - so in a way we got both of our schooling for half price - LOL! What a deal!!

Today was the closest I have come to saying #### it I want out! Every once and a while I get 'emotional' - and I use to blame it on 'that time of the month'... well I don't have 'that' time any more - but today was one of THOSE days. Started out fine - dropped off a load in Brea, CA - went smooth - I was driving and we were both in great moods. Got to the next stop - it's s load of pineapples from a Port in the LA area. First off the address they (the company) gave us for the 'escort' (since we don't have TWIC cards) was wrong. Then we were told only one of us could go into the port - even though we are both drivers, and a team. THAT is what put the spanner in my works today. I freaked - I haven't done a run on my own. The one time I attempted it I was SO glad I snuck Gary on board - because he was able to help me through it. Well with me freaking out - Gary is like - we just won't take it. Now I'm freaking there because I don't want it to adversly effect our 'jobs'. We were told that if we didn't do it - it would be a service failure. Plus Gary didn't want to drop me off at a 'coffee shop' in a strange town so he could do the delivery. (I was better w/that option) So needless to say - I've been an emotional mess today... He did drop me off at a Subway right out side the Port - and did the pick-up with no problem and on an up note - less than a week until I get to meet my Grandson Edward Gustavus Caluza :) Love a good ending!!

123456 - yep - I chose it, and today I don't regret it - however if you had asked me yesterday you would have gotten a different answer - LOL!

That thank you isn't sarcastic either - LOL - I will have to admit they have been (well our DM - and the ones filling in for her while she is on vacation) pretty good about keeping us on the West Coast for the birth of our Grandchild. We had a load into Stocton, CA that wouldn't have delivered until Monday (and we are here Saturday) and they got us the OK to drop it at the yard and a load out tomorrow AM.. at first I was like - don't you have anything out today?? (Wanting to keep moving, knowing we will be short miles next week.) But in the long run the load they gave us will work out OK... as long as we can get Gary back from UT on the next load (which they 'should' be able to do). So the plan for right now is pick up in Tracy in the AM - drop me off in Sacramento - Gary heads solo to UT drops on Tuesday (Grandson should hopefully be born late Monday, early Tuesday from induction) and then heads straight back to spend 2-3 days playing Grandpa until we head back out again... so we really are grateful that our DM's are taking into consideration what is happening in our lives and the need to stay in the West... I think what has helped with this is that we have been in constant communication w/our DM and have let her know week by week how things are going and what the 'plan' is. I truely believe communication has been the key.

I go away for a few days and y'all get into an accident... Ok me too.. Tried to disprove the laws of physics. Enstein was right. You can't occupy the same space as another object at the same time. Cost me a week of downtime waiting on the
    Trailer to get fixed...

Gary course it was preventable.. You could have parked elsewhere... Geesh :biggrin_25520:

    Lady K Thanks this.

Shoot - sorry to hear you tried to do the same thing we did... what are those famous words?? "Trucks do it all the time!!" At least there wasn't any damage to our trailer, but it sure did do a shave job on the fiberglass hood of the other guy :(
