Congrats on the Grandbaby! You two defy weight and age! You surely do not look like grandparents. Hopefully a few good years on the road will put some age on you and make you look more like grammy and grampy!

AW
We will see what I end up being called - I had a couple Grands that were called Doe and Da... Da was Grandma, Doe was Grandpa. They got those names because one of the cousins before me couldn't pronounce their names - LOL! Then there was Bompa and Gracie (she didn't want to be called Grandma - made her feel old - LOL)... -
Yep which is why my wife is nina. They call me papa pete or just pete for thaat same reason

ok... Today!
Great day. Spent half the day working on PTI.
I got out on the street again today. We have a guy in our class that keeps falling asleep not only in the class room but while he is in the back of the truck. Instructors are worried that there may be a sleeping disorder of come kind involved. They have asked him to have it checked out by a Dr.
So the deal is now, if he falls asleep, he doesn't get to drive. Well today in the back of the truck, while two others where driving he fell asleep.
So I got to drive for my 45 minutes and his! So I got a total of 1-1/2 hours stick time today. Just about all surface street and traffic driving.
I am really starting to feel better about it too.. A lot of the "how to's" is coming back to me. Also some of the "should nots" as well.
Over all on the driving I still need to remember to check the rail road crossings. The ones that we are crossing (there is 7 or 8) only one is a active set of train tracks. The rest are spurs to warehouses that have not been used sense the 60's or early 70's. But the point is I should still be checking them (looking both ways) before crossing them...
Now... BIG FURBAR!
Four guys in the truck. One of them, the instructor. All having to go take a leek.
I missed the turn for the street that goes to the yard. This causes us to have to take almost another 15 or 20 minutes run around the block. So now on next monday I have to bring the class and all the instructors do-nuts becuase I missed the turn.
But to top it all off, I did take my skills test (100ft straight backing, alley docking, and parallel parking), I got a "B" for all three... I'm a happy camper!
Oh and BTW.... I'm going to be a GrandpaThe Challenger and Lady K Thank this. -
Great job man! I told you, all kinds of interesting individuals! I doubt Rip Van Winkle is going to make it! If he does rest assured (no pun intended) he will get canned for falling asleep at the wheel and hitting a school bus!
Anyway, keep up the good work! You are one more day closer to being in the biz!

I only have 4 days left at the school, and then I go to Fontana for DMV/CRS testing there. (keeping fingers crossed)
The Challenger and wulfman75 Thank this.
