What an adventure. With just me in the truck, I've got enough room for my stuff. With two, that'll be a challenge. I've got a microwave and fridge in the truck and making stuff to eat is a snap. The prepared meals you can buy are yummy, but they're loaded with salt, which for me is not a good thing if you've got elevated blood pressure.
I may have missed it, but did you mention who y'all plan to drive for?

Today was the first day of class... I am sure glad that I/we decided to take the truck driving school an not just try for my CDL on my own... there is so much that has changed, I couldn't believe it. There was a lot of things that you could log as "off duty" and can't now. Even the training class it self is loged as "on duty" time and counts against 70/8. (Not real sure if that is just to give us practice on logbooks, CRS requirement or part of the new regulations).
Tomorrow will be more class room work. Well, got a bunch of 'homework' to do....

 

This is great! You guys have a thread now..Going into this industry as a husband wife team will be nice,I wish my wife would but I'll wait till she gets tired of runnin the corporate hamster wheel..lol

 

My wife is an LVN and has been for some where around 23 years.
She is going to keep her CEU's up at least for a while to keep her License.
We are really looking forward to the adventure... lol

 

i will give you the benefit of a doubt and say a doornail hahhaha im just as hokey sometimes as well to hahahah

 

The reason I say that is; back in the 80's when I first go my CDL the California CDL book was only about 20-25 pages.
Now it is 160 pages. Things have changed so much that I KNOW NO-THING!!!!!... lol (just like a California Politcian)
