Goood news for anyone who cares!

I drove to Wyoming last week, my lawyer suggested I wear a tie, so I wore a suite. My court appearance was set for Monday at 1pm. The Trooper apparently took a video of his trip to the site of the "accident" (even though there was no
    accident, thats what it's called).

The video was played for all to see... The charge was failure to use extreme caution in hazordous weather. The judge said in light of the fact that I was able to control the vehicle to the extent that it did not go off the road, did not cause any damage to anyone or anything... the State did not have sufficent evidence to prove it's case. Therefore: the charge was dismissed.

I didn't even have to get on the stand. Between the cost of the lawyer and the cost of the trip I was 700.00 lighter, but to keep my MVR clean.... it was more than worth it.

Excellent Droudebush! Congratulations. This is why I fight most tickets. They would have gladly convicted you if you hadn't shown up. It clearly wasn't worth the fight when you did. A little pricey but well worth it to keep something like this off your MVR.

I just went to the Secretary of State here in Michigan, I was checking on my MVR because I had honestly forgot about my Careless Driving thing. So I checked on it and lo and behold Careless Driving in June of 2010. I've emailed my recruiter for the one place I applied and let them know that I had that on my MVR and the other place I applied I put that down. Wasn't trying to hide anything just forgot. I paid the fines but where does that leave me? At the end of my record it says Driver Eligible-Record Clear.

I have a question... I recently received a ticket for careless driving in Nj while driving a commercial vehicle... and I was found at fault for an accident... I was getting into the middle lane, the car behind me decided to speed up so that I can't get in front of him, once I seen him speeding I tried to get back into my original lane.. result they clipped my bottom step that leads to the tractor door.. state trooper came said it was my fault since I was switching lanes and gave me the ticket..would these things hurt my chances of getting a new job? I was suppose to work for ups come October 2017

I currently work and drive for UPS and am shocked I can be of some assistance being so new to this website. Unfortunately being a new driver your license needs to be clean of accidents, dwis etc unless you currently drive for UPS at which point they'd make you work inside pt for a year. However you being hired in October it would mean you were being hired for peak season as either a contractor or temp, so they may or may not be lenient on you, that would be between you and hr. The best advice I can give you is to be honest because integrity is huge at UPS .
