Also if a carrier puts something on your DAC that is incorrect, you can petition to get it removed. Then they (HireRight) has to investigate and at the conclusion of their investigation they may/may not remove the items in question.

It's happened to me. My last company put on my DAC that I had late loads and an unsatisfactory safety record. I petitioned. HireRight removed both items. Score one for the little guy!

Yes you can contest what you may think is bad info. it takes about 30 days to do. And FYI if the company doesnt respond, it is taken off the report. And to all the know-it-all's here, dont tell me I am wrong, I did it and had bogus info that knight refrigerated reported removed. I am doing it again, Jim Palmer trucking just cut my balls off as I was tring to go to work for SRT, they claimed a failed/refused drug test when there records show I did pass it and didnt refuse it. So they are next on my hit list. This report is VERY important to get, just because you think you left a company on good terms is not enough, get it and see what they said about you.

I remember the first driver I ran thru DAC. He had 22 positions in an 11 month period and had a rebuttal against each one...we decided to let him be someone else's problem!

They reduce your bill by $2.50 for each termination report you submit while it cost $7.00 - $15.00 to get an MVR depending on the state...

Their 'criminal' report is a name scan against county/state databases and is not as complete as one w/ fingerprints. You have to pay extra for previous employer reports.

I had to get the Criminal reports after our owner was embarrassed by a guy who was pulled from the truck at a scale due to an outstanding warrant so he decided to pony up the extra to make sure no new hire was wanted...

    You're kidding right??
A COUPLE of things that were incorrect
and they are in the most part pretty accurate?

OH Please pick my silly old arse up off the floor before I laugh parts off!

HireRight is ONLY as accurate as that reporting company that sends in the information is at telling the truth or understanding the difference between hitting a tree branch, a bird strike and an accident!

Lets hope that CSA will put them out of business as it's your score companies will want over a half truthful DAC report!

D.A.C. , closed down, opened as Hire Right , closed AGAIN ,opened as U.S.I.S. ,

The company that violates peoples 6th amendment right to face your accusers in a court of law, and NOT proving accusations that the company made.
By doing this they have hurt some innocent people, all in the name of safety! ! !

They side step due process of law by saying this is like credit report , so they need not prove the accusations that have been made.

A very dangerous company, if they change the word from driver to American citizen,
    we will ALL hang.

Yeah, no doubt... y'all forgot to mention the class action suit against DAC for allowing crooked companies bearing grudges against drivers to put whatever they want down in that p.o.s. rag. Why do you think those DAC greaseballs keep changing their company name? There's a reason for everything, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out this one. They've been getting away with it for some time, knowing that most drivers won't bother filing suits across state lines, but those days are thankfully coming to an end as more and more people hear about this DAC racket. The only things that should really matter: a driver's MVR, regular criminal background check, and whether he or she ever failed a drug test. PERIOD. Everything else can be taken with a grain of salt in this industry... perhaps even a truckload. Bring on the salt shakers!!! :biggrin_25523:
