Obviously it's not a perfect world, so it's unlikely anyone has found a perfect company. Are you content enough to spend atleast the next 6 months with your current employer? Yes:yes2557:, no:biggrin_25512:, or undecided:dontknow:?

Been with my current company for a year now, been some slow weeks but overall I am real happy with them.

Like my truck, they haven't tried screwing me on money, they pretty much leave us alone & let us do our job, if we need something for the truck or personally they have always made it happen.

Been with my current company since starting my trucking career. It's been nearly 2 1/2 years. Very happy, will be here as long as things don't change dramatically. I spent a lot of time on this site prior to selecting possible companies and realized what i was getting into. :biggrin_25520:

Been with my company for a month. So far so good. I didn't do much research before signing on with them. I mean I looked online for any bad reports and they had some but not nearly as many as other companies I was considering.

Nine years and counting with my current carrier. Of course there are others that have tried working for Eastern, were very unhappy and left.

The fact is "we" have alot to do with how well our job goes. Do the job well and you will be rewarded. That does not mean every week is a cake walk or every year is better than the last. Overall it is still the best job "I" have ever had and the benefits are head and shoulders above all the regular truckload carriers out there. To my knowledge the only guys that get better pay and benefits are the LTL unionized guys.

That said I made $62,500 for the year. 9 months running team with my spouse and the last 3 months solo. Combined earnings were $108,000 for the year and home every weekend.

This is the WORST year I have ever had with this company as far as earnings but I am still here. The best was over $75,000 as a solo and was home every weekend.

Find a job that works for you and stay. Jumping from one company to another will cost you more in the long run than sticking it out.

I'm basically satisfied, but with my wife's job situation changing for the better recently, I'm considering changing just to get home more often. But I will not change for "just another OTR position".
