    Smile Trucking Companies for Beginners

Me and my friend Josh want to team drive for a big company. We live in Florida and we've been researching some big companies such as Swift, Heartland Express, C.J. England, etc. We've been looking online and seen a lot of Pros and Cons. After a lot of 'non-success' at trying to figure out the best ones I thought it would be a good idea to ask the real experts... YA'LL! So what would ya'll suggest a good Company for Beginners that is located in Florida or the surrounding states. Also please be specific on why you suggest these companies.

    Thanks ya'll and God bless!

I've seen a lot of bad reviews about Swift though. Do you think it's a good company to work for?

Name me a company that doesn't have 'a lot bad reviews'. Most of them are from people whose bubble was shattered because this industry isn't what they expected.

Dig deeper.. a majority of Swift drivers will tell you it a good starter company and some will tell you it's a great company. However, like all of them it is what YOU make of it.

Swift was our first choice. I just didn't know about all the cons. Like people were talking about getting ripped on in their paycheck and stuff like that. I just wanted to make sure we weren't going to get ripped off, ya know what I mean?

If you get ripped on your paycheck it's YOUR fault........you have to get them the ppwk before you get paid....it's just that simple...........trucking is not like any other job you have ever had, signed bills of lading ,properly filled out trip sheets, and log sheets are the things the company needs to pay you for your time......also if you have any out of pocket expense you need to submit reciepts so they will pay you back.....it's ll part of the game at EVERY company...even the small mom and pops

I work for a 'sister' company of Swift.. Same family owns both. When I hear people get ripped oof it's usually because they drove X miles to a shipper or receive and they only got paid for Y miles. When you dig deeper you find out the didn't follow the route they were given, because they didn't like that route, or they failed to turn in all their paperwork on time, or they think they should be paid for all the miles on a split load.. I get paid based on Household Goods Miles, and not on MY desired route.. so far I have not been cheated..

Dig deeper, there is always more to the story.

HHG miles are pretty short. Less than Practical.
