Wanted to know from experienced driver's that are out traveling to Canada when entering the boarder do they check your driver's license, and passport/passcard, or do they just check your passport/passcard?
The reason I ask these question would be my driver's license has my first and father's last given name, but on my passport it will show my fathers and mothers last name. Will this be a problem entering Canada?

should not be a problem. when my wife came across (she is a U.S.) her passport was in her maiden name, and she etook on my last name.
That never was a problem. Then when we re newed her passport, we changed it. -
Ok because I am applying for my passport using the DS-11 application and it states that what ever name is on your birth certificate is to be used on your passport but all my legal document's I only use my father's last name not my mother's maiden name.
On my birth certificate it shows first name, fathers last name and mothers maiden name.. -
If that's a concern, you could apply for an Enhanced Driver's license. -
Would be cool if EDLs where available, but it is not in my state, so If I am going to apply for a passport I might as well apply for the passcard so if one get's lost I have another for backup. Back to the the subject, anyone with info please chime in.
