Because they suck. Check out bad companies on this forum. They are there. Some make it at Prime . Most don't . Just another company who convince suckers to buy and finance their equipment for them so they can make much more for themselves. They have a slick sales pitch . Go buy some siding.

I'm much relieved, I thought you read about my driving records and then told me to run away from them because I'm not going to get hired by them because they are great company that won't hire someone with a bad driving record lol

I did not use a school. I studied the book and rented a truck and walked away with my CDL. However, I already had my job lined up, company knew they were getting me green as can be. This was local, most OTR jobs require school or recent & verifiable experience.

Yep. Yet another whiner who heard from a friend of a friend, whose cousin knew someone who "lost his shirt" at Prime. No evidence or data - just a blanket statement that "Prime sucks". Check out the company, paying special attention to those who ARE THERE and making money, like Sazook, IronPony, and U2 Exit - because they have DATA to back up their claims. A bad experience at a company is NEVER the driver's fault. Always has to be the company screwing them over. I have had two leases with Prime and made very good money. Family reasons had me come home and do regionals for a while. Now I am getting ready to go back.

You will always find whiners about EVERY company.

That's too true, if you google whatever company then put the word sucks after it, you'll see people complain about it, just about very company, like walmart, best buy, mcdonalds, ford, toyota, etc.

Personally I love my Ford Crown Victoria Police Intercepter!

And you will find a lot more "whiners" at Prime because they lost their arses after listening to sales pitch instead of talking to real world stories. Like I stated some make it work. Vast majority don't. They aren't CR England bad-yet. And their training is far superior to CRE,Werner, Stevens, etc. But their gimmick is still getting sapps to purchase their equipment for them and then nickle and dime them to death. If you are sharp and run real hard you can make some money. But nothing like a smart OO who can add and subtract, talk a good game and then deliver, and refuses to tear his stuff up to make some one else rich.
Look it over. And others like Millis, WS, Roehl. Go where you think you will fit best. Or go get it on your own. There will always be someone to drive for if you can sell yourself.

If you do decide to go with one of the carriers who do fleece deals, you need to stay away from their lease. You will make more money as a company driver than you will when you lease a truck from one of these carriers under their lease. Many people want to be an owner operator. To me, when you lease a truck from a carrier you are pretending to be an owner operator. If you want to be an owner operator, save your money for a good down payment or pay cash. You will make much more money when you own the truck than if you rent one from one of the carriers who lease them to unsuspecting drivers. I have looked at the numbers from most of those who offer them. Some of them will take $800/week or more from you to pay for the truck rental and other charges. You can buy a truck with a monthly payment of $800/month or less. That in itself will put an additional $2,400/month in your pocket. A lease operator is not an owner operator. When you own the truck you can take it anywhere you want. If you lease a truck from a carrier, you must leave the truck if you decide to change carriers. You will also pay considerably more for a lease truck than you would pay when you own.

    Big Duker Thanks this.
