    Porta Potty...

My husband and I start trucking training in two weeks to drive as TEAM DRIVERS. We are considering to purchase a camping porta potty... Any advice? Do you know of any locations we could empty them? Thanks a million...

I have seen some rest areas that have the area for RV's to dump their septic waste, but those are far and few in between.

Really? Were you planning on pinching a loaf in the sleeper while your significant other cruises down the road? And if you can't find a place to dump it right away, you want to be sleeping with that thing in the sleeper with you?

Your best bet would be a five gallon bucket. Keep a roll of trash bags two 2x4's and a roll of TP. When you need to use it line the bucket with a trash bag or two (depending on what you ate the night before) then place the two pieces of wood in a "V" shape on top of the bucket for a custom seat and then start squeezing! When all is well you take the trash bag out, tie it up and discard, or you can keep it, makes for a killer road-rage bomb on your adversaries windshield! Personally I recommend doing this procedure on your catwalk, in or under your trailer etc... Pooping in your truck is just not right. Even a dog doesn't poop where they sleep. Plus you have to eat in your truck too! Another really great poop hideout, depending on your truck is between tandems and fuel tank on the passenger side. You can also take two bungee cords or load lock bars and go from your slider bar on your catwalk to the headboard of the trailer and hang a tarp like a curtain. Nothing like poopin in the great out doors! Good luck to you! Happy poopin!

    Red face

I was told that you can use a bucket with a bag liner if you have to go when there is no place to go. Just tie the bag off and throw it away at the next stop.
Chompi, i like your idea of a couple of 2 x 4's. That will make sitting on a bucket a lot easier. Reminds me of my grandfathers outhouse.

thats pretty gross to crap where u sleep...
being a solo driver, or a team, theres not excuse why you cant stop a truck stop, or rest area to release some build up.
i prefer rest areas, you in and out in just a few mins, at night its harder to use a rest area cause they are usually jam packed with trucks, so ill hit the fuel island at a truck stop, but if i can help it, im using a rest area.
making money is everyones objective out here, but i cant go more the 4 hrs max with out stopping for 2 mins or 20 mins, my knees begin to cramp up, i used to be a bike messanger so i need to move, and getting out every so many hours is good for your body anyways.
iv never drivin a highway or road where i couldnt find a place to stop, weather the shouler, driveway, parking lot, t/s, rest area etc iv had my close calls, but never had to go inside or beside the truck, and iv eaten some stuff that tore me up.
    good luck,

personally I keep an empty coffee can with lid in truck. I always have plastic shopping bags for trash bags. Line the 'thunder can' with baggie, put couple handfuls of puppy litter pellets in bottom (mostly for smell purposes, cat litter will clump & make hard top surface, puppy pellets just swell up a bit). If have to use it, just tie up baggie and throw away at end of the day. Has only been couple times I've been trapped and had to use 'thunder can', but yes, very handy in a pinch. Most the time I just hide behind the tires on side of the road.
My job little different tho, I rarely see bathroom, rest stop w/ bathrooms, truck stop, or even town during my day. I have found one out house type in the 'national grasslands', near a trail head. So look for national parks as well as rest/rec areas w/ facilities.
    Sometimes I envy otr people.
