Just watch out for bugs and crackheads... if your windows are open, your doors are, too.

That's just it. When I sleep I leave the 2 upper bunk windows open and the rest are closed with the doors locked cause to be honest I don't need to wake up and find my Alienware laptop gone.

Invest in window screens that lock into place in the window pane channels. They run about $50 and are available at most Love's, TA's and Petros.

I use these on my Freightliner Columbia http://www.truckersmall.net/endlessbreeze.html

Half way open with doors locked should be OK. DO NOT place your pants on the front seat with your wallet easily available to someone. I've heard of bad guys prying open the small sleeper vents and gassing the driver while sleeping, then breaking in. BTW, windows open halfway, only in well protected areas, not in "dirty town", right ?

About an hour before you park turn your A/C in the bunk on high to cool things off, by the time you actually park it should be pretty chilly back there......shut the truck down and sleep..

Only draw back is if your truck isn't insulated well it may warm up again before to long....

I have had good luck doing this unless of course your in the deep south in the middle of summer then I just idle..
