I forgot to mention but their TOP pay rate is only 39 cpm no matter how good your record is or how many years you have. Also, you can't idle or you will get an unpaid vacation and you can't have an inverter if it connects directly to the battery so forget about having a frig or microwave. If you want to make more money please look elsewhere.

Hiya everyone,i just got on the site and i was reading this post about DeBoer Transportation, well i know a lot about the company.i will tell you my story.

First of all i live in wisconsin and i worked for a company that was bought out by DeBoer Transportation,Thay came in and told us that if we came over that thay would let us keep are run, mostly local run,
we had 70 drivers. When DeBoer came thay had a list of the driver thay wanted to keep and that was the drivers thay talked to,i was one of them, thay told me that i would keep my run to the twin cities and that i could be home on the weekends, well out of 70 drivers thay took 30 of us and for the first few weeks thay keep us on r runs, then thay started calling us to tell us r runs where no longer with them and that we would have to take other runs over the rode and be gone anywhere from 8 to 14 days and then we get 1 to 2 days off after that. Well about a week or so after that i got hurt on the job,and had to have a total redo of my left knee,it took 2 surgey to fix it,well while i was lad up and could not drive,i was threaten by the head of the drivers that if i did not show up for work, ment that i had quit, and i had a doctor's note for being off work, then when i was able to go in to work on lite duty, thay called my therpy place and change all my appt. time, call my doctor's to have him change my work restriction, thay tried to screw with my work comp, benfits, then when it was all over thay fried me,when i was still under doctor's orders to stay in therpy for 3 weeks after, thay told me that i had to go out with a trainer for 3 weeks, now come on i have 17 years behind the wheel of a truck and over 1.5 millon miles and i need a trainer? so all i can say is u do what u want and driver for who thank will be the best for you,but for me thay was not.good luck and be safe out on the road.

Second hand information.....knew someone that went to work for them last about 2 weeks....not enough miles. So guess if you want to run and make $$ they might not be the way to go.

I also forgot to mention that most of the experienced drivers are leaving Deboer in groves!!! Most of the ones I talked to were extremely upset at the way the company was being ran since the "kids" took over. Beware if you plan to drive for this company...can't say "I didn't tell you". Good luck in your driving career no matter who you drive for and please be careful.

THIS IS NOT TRUE: Carolina Cargo out of Rock Hill/Chester, SC is the lowest paying job in the trucking industry. They run teams only, automatics and pay 10 cents per mile the first three mandated trips to and from the west coast, then you get a whole penny raise. If you are looking for the worst company to work for, it sounds like it is NOT deBoer, but it is in fact Carolina Cargo!!! I got fired for refusing to drive a truck that had no operating headlights!
