    Littlebit,
I'm pick'n up what your putt'n down. Acuna Matata , No Worries... Appreciate your thoughtfulness and time responding. Was looking over Schneider. I'm gonna tell you what... Researching all these companies, reading all the threads, trying to decipher all the good/bad info. It gives me an ACHE in the head. Big-time!!! Was set on going with TMC but then ran across "that Thread" now? Don't know. Roehl- haven't seen much but positive. Thread on the Big Orange, so been reading on them. I didn't do this much studying in school and the military combined. This is crazy!!!
Been thinking about that quote you have by MLK, not the voices of our enemies but the silence of our friends. what was he stating. That in that time Silence is acceptance? just curious.

I wouldn't stress out over it very much. Everybody has a different opinion on which company is the best. You just got to figure out which one is good for you. As far as the quote you pretty much got it right. He wanted people to stand up and speak out for what was right. It still holds very true today. Good luck to you on the job hunt.

Here's another suggestion hrdlife. Once you have narrowed your list of companies that fit your needs...dry van, flatbed, hometime, miles, cpm etc...go down to your local truck stop, and talk to the drivers of those companies, and ask them about their experiances. Just offer to buy them coffee or even lunch, and they will be glad to talk to you.

i got to go back and see where i read this about the blood pressure rules "about to change" (or) maybe they already did.

i was reading the current issue of OVERDIVE magazine (not LandLine), and the columnist, Linda Longton (editor) reported this on page 9 of the December 2006 issue.

With respect, everything you eat, and drink will be found in your urine. Everything your kidneys, liver, etc. are are doing, and has processed will be found in your urine.

What really matters, is whether or not they choose to actually test for it. To add an additional thing to test for in a U/A, only costs $1.50 extra. They can test for anything that's gone through your body/circulated through your system in the past 6 months.

If you have fatty tissue, the extent of how much you have, also dictates how long things can be detected in your urine.

Just wanted to put that out there.

    Also wanted to add:

A person can read up the EXACT way your Kidney, and liver are functioning with your urine. If your Kidneys are working harder than norm. If you're a strong alcohol drinker, if you're an occasional alcohol drinker, if you drink a bunch of pop, juice, or if you take multi-vitamins, or if you take other dietary supplements, that is all found in your urine.

It's not a matter of if it can be found, it's a matter if the U/A covers testing for specific properties is the question.

Blood pressure meds will not show up in a standard urine test, unless they are checking for that specific drug. With that said I would tell them you're on the meds because if you start driving and have an accident there could be an investigation which could include a more extensive test. Lawyers can make a big deal out of medical info that was not disclosed, and by the way it is required by law that you report it.
As long as it's 140/90 or less you will be fine as far as getting a one year card. Just make sure the company you're applying at doesn't require a two year card. Some do, usually flatbed companies.

If in doubt you can always check the DOT's web site or OOIDA's site ...I'm sure they will have the current criteria for drivers BP
