This is true. English is the international language of business. It's why many people who speak other languages want to learn it as a second language.

It does take a while to learn a new language. I've heard language experts say it takes 5 - 6 years to become functionally literate in a new language. I've lived in Mexico for most of the past 5 years, and can't say I'm fluent yet in Spanish. However, at present I have no problem having a conversation as long as the person with whom I'm speaking doesn't use slang and speaks clearly in formal Spanish. With time the fluency will come. Anyone can do it, but it does take effort.

back in the 1700s in england it was illegal for anyone other than nobility or wealthy to own firearms. but in the the american colonys it was considered a frontier, a gun was key to survival. our forefathers knew that the only reason we were able to revolt was because we could form an army since every man already had a gun. you heve to understand that the writers of the constitution were very aware of the fact that we had to have an armed revolt the free ourselves from the british goverment, and the only way to protect the citizens of the new country from an oppressive goverment in the future was to ensure the, Right To Bear Arms so the population could raise an army if necessary. theres a lot more to it than that but thats why the 2nd amendment is there.

I live in a country with 11 official languages.
    Political correctness to the ridicules.
    I only speak 2 and semi understand a 3rd.
English is the one you need.
The government is also trying to disarm us.(Political correctness again).
As with the US being armed was also the reason our forefathers could revolt against the imperialistic British and form a Free State.

As for the O/P a GPS is an aid , always refer to maps.

I am sorry to hear that you feel that way about this Country's 2nd Ammendment. If you are a citizen of this Country, I will fight to defend your rights, as outlined by our Constitution and My Bible.. One of the greatest things about this Country, is our Freedom to think as we choose..as long as we don't enforce that thought,,we will stay a great Country.

    God bless and be safe..

Thanks man for your advice! I really do my best to improve my English, but it takes time to learn it as a second language, and I have been just 9 months in USA! so it just a matter of time.

It sounds like a good idea to me.
Your English seems good enough as a starting point to me.
Also OTR truck driving is one of the best professions you can be in to learn a new language.
You have so much time to practice the language with some CD language courses.

You could do worse than Schneider. They seem ok to me as a starter company. Most likely your going to get some negative feedback from the "speak English" crowd. I was born and raised in the US, I'm trying hard to learn Spanish so I have empathy for anyone trying to learn a new language. If you come to this country legally to work and are willing to learn the language and obey the laws I say welcome. As long as you can communicate well enough to pass the CDL tests and deal with law enforcement and with shippers and receivers you will be fine. There are plenty of guys driving trucks in the US that are not native English speakers. I haven't met any from Iran but lots of guys from India and former Warsaw Pact countries (Poland, Russia, etc).

I want to welcome you to trucking. I have many Persian friends. One was with me at the Air Force Academy. Reza Pahlavi. His dad was in government. Sent me a 50 gallon drum of pistachios.
[h=1][/h]You will find that Americans like Persians but are less then happy with the government there. Give us time to get to know you and for you to know us. Again welcome to trucking and America.
