Nobody. Sorry! A failed drug test excludes you everywhere. It's not so much the trucking company, but the insurance companies. Good news is that they will dissapear after 3 years. Then you don't mention it obviously!

Every application I have seen clearly asks "Have you EVER tested positive for a controlled substance" on a DOT physical. Not sure about the exact wording but the word ever is included.

Sorry to burst your bubble...DAC info (no matter what) stays for 7 years....

Now the 3 year...could be for challenged information put there...it will take them that long to purge the file....

Either way....driver screwed the pooch with a drug/chemical positive test result!

Positive piss test in Feb of this year? It ain't happening unless you get that expunged. I don't even know if CR England would touch you. That's one thing you just have to give up totally if you're going to be in a safety-sensitive industry with such extremely high liability and consequences for accidents.

Yes you are correct, but the record is purged off your CSA 2010 after 3 years. Only a fool would volunteer that you had ever failed. White lies sometimes catch up to you, but they are a way of life.

Welcome to the TTR Forum. I'm not sure why you chose this thread instead of starting one of your own with a proper title. I'm not going to pass judgment but prepare to take a hammering. I'm sure if you haven't learned your lesson you will by the time you put this behind you. I can tell you no professional drivers want drug users in our profession.

I don't know what DAP DOT is. I know the only way back after a positive test is to complete a return-to-duty process. Here is this information from the DOT dot gov website found with a Google search for "positive drug test".

"When you test positive or refuse a test, you are not permitted to perform safety-sensitive duties until you have seen a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and successfully completed the return-to-duty process, which includes a Federal return-to-duty drug and/or alcohol test. Working in a safety-sensitive position before successfully completing the return-to-duty process is a violation of the regulations."

If I understand correctly a pre-employment drug test is different from all the rest. This is because you are not yet an employee. I'm not sure what this means in the grand scheme of things. You should do some research. Google will give you plenty of information. The search function on TTR will return many threads on this subject.

    1) You won't get this issue resolved. It is what it is, think ahead next time.
    2) There is no process to remove correct information from your DAC, if it is there.

I’m not sure any company or individual will employ you until several years pass. I wouldn’t because if you were involved in an accident a lawyer would have a party when he found those test results. In trucking the lawyers line up to bring lawsuits and they love to find something like this.

You’ll have to research and knock on doors. You need phone and in-person interviews. You’ll have to take responsibility and sell yourself. You may find someone to take a chance but it will probably be the worst of the worst if you do.

You tested POSITIVE FOR A CONTROLED SUBSTANCE. DOT/ FMCSA BOTH SAY THATS A HUGE NO NO. Your going to have a very very hard time trying to get a driving job with a big company, even the little ones, since Random testing is a must, and you now have been tested positive.
There may be a blood sucker , er a Lawyer, who may charge you alot of money, to help resolve this. As for Marten hiring you , i HIGHLY DOUBT IT.
