How many miles do you OTR drivers usually average per day?

    Traffic jams exist in reality, not on paper. ;) A smart driver goes through DC while you're sleeping if they can.

    600 miles before you have to stop for 8 hours then another 300 is possible.

    If you are a team you don't stop and put away 1400 miles by the time your co driver has to swap out. I forget exactly 300 gallons of fuel works out to 10 gallons an hour, 6 and half miles to gallon average. Zoom. New tanks full every 30 hours or so. Essentially cross the USA twice from LA to Avenel NJ and back to LA in 5 days and change.
