Could anybody give me any report on E&H Transport Network? It is company of about 55 ownwer operators based in Carlsbad, CA. They haul things like furniture, electronics and trade shows in 53 ft Xtra Lease trailers. They advertise "most loads under 15,000 pounds". Have very proffesionally looking website and the recruiter is very good to deal with, but I have not been able to get any report on them from anybody who ever worked with them:biggrin_25513:.

I worked for them for three months last year. The only reason I left because I had issues with my truck but now I trying to get back with them. In the 3 months I worked I Grossed almost 42,000. Orientation was over the phone. There are NO ELOGS (but you use their Paperlog format). Payday is every Tuesday direct deposit. You get paid the same loaded or empty. There are no fees to use their trailers which are Ryder 2014-2015 trailers. Fees are very small. Once they take out the 2,000 to hold for cargo claims (you get the money back when you leave), and the plate fees in weekly settlements the only fees you are paying for is the advance fees (if you decide to use their provided Comdata card). They also take out the fuel taxes for you. Settlements and loads are sent via email. Loads are very light mostly and if you have a truck with a good fuel economy you'll average around 7 mpg or higher. You'll do mostly casino machines and office furniture. I loved the loads when I picking up one casino machine to go 1,800 miles and the gross settlement is 4,000 plus. But you'll average around 2,500 a week net. You do go to CA often though. They want you to stay out a minimum of 3 weeks but you can take off as much time as you want.

I planing on going back with E and H. I'm in the process of buying a brand new truck and that's probably going to take another week. In the mean time I had the my background check done with E and H, and I'm waiting for the drug test kit to get to me so I can go to the site in my area. They had moved to another location but they are still out of CA. I'll keep posting as process continues.

Drug test came back good. The next thing is buying the truck. I want to do as much of the process from home as possible. The truck dealership is in Oregon which is a drive from Texas but I'm going to fly and the dealership will give me my money back. Most of the stuff with E and H is done on line or over the phone, some stuff will be faxed to be signed. Except for getting the plates permits and stuff. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Howard it go with you getting a new truck? I have talked to Matt and am really considering E and H.
I also live in Texas and have done a lot of research and believe E and H will work me the way I want to run. Any update from you would be greatly appreciated

I have the truck since yesterday. I decided not to get the truck in Oregon because I found out that getting a title only and no plates in Texas would end up with me paying like $9,000 in taxes and fees. I didn't want to deal with any potential issues especially with Oregon being so far. So I brought the truck at the Volvo dealership in Houston Texas and everything was done in literally less than 48 hours. The dealership was really nice and my salesman Juan helped the process go smoothly with Matt and I. The only delay was the Title receipt from Texas which came in too late for E&H to do the plates today. So I got the contracts via Email today with the rules, direct deposit form, W-9, and the forms to fill out if you wanted to get insurance through E&H. You sign and initial where needed and you email or fax the forms back to Matt. I advise you email unless you have your own fax it's over 10 pages of paperwork. You also get a bonus, part of it is given after your first load, the second part 30 days and the last part 6 months. If they mail out the plates, logos, permits, IfTA sticker ect. tomorrow I think I'll start working next week. I'll post an update tomorrow.

I got my drivers packet in the mail around 10:00am and I had my orientation via phone at 12:00. It was around 30 mins. Since I had worked with them before it was pretty quick a few things had changed but not much. I told them I'll be ready to get my first load on Sunday. This gives me time to put my plates and the decals on the truck. The driver packet also contains a permit book, Comdata card, IFTA stickers ect. I also found out they use the BIG ROAD app for logs and for keeping track of the driver and trailer. For the mean time you can choose to either use paper logs or the BIG ROAD for logs. But they require that you have the BIG ROAD app on in the background so that they can use the GPS positioning to keep track of your progress to delivery. They aren't going to track your every minute so don't worry. When you are on your home time you can log out of the BIG ROAD app. I'll update again when I get my first load.
