He is from Perth, which is in Australia.
He drives a road train for a company and wants to know if it is legal to adjust the brakes.
Since I am not down under, I have no answer but understand the question.otherhalftw, Diesel Dave and johnday Thank this. -
I don't see why not as long as it is OK with your company. -
How many trailers do you pull? Just curious. I read about some of the crazy long road trains out there. Wild stuff.

laws in ausi, my differ from here, best thing to do is check regulations and laws in your country, driver in your country pull truck with sometimes 5 trailers, wouldnt want to say one way or the other on this

I don't think anyone can give you an answer since you're the only one from down under. Like everyone says check with the laws and the company. Years ago I pulled triples out of Las Vegas NV and I ran my own brakes with every set. I had the special 9/16 wrench that was shaved down to fit the nut and a heavy flat spot on the end to use a hammer if need be. But that was before ABS and the law that requires special knowledge in adjustments. If you do I highly recommend a creeper or you'll be sorry.
okiedokie Thanks this. -
I ran LVC over the mountains daily for years. I did my own brakes cause it was my ### in the seat off those hills. Had a shaved down box end w/ a hammer just like GasHauler.

It's funny I found that wrench in an old abandon warehouse and didn't know what it was until years later. All of a sudden it donned on me what it was. Sometimes I'm a little slow but wow what a find!
