I thought this was a great post - realistic and relevant. Obviously, not everyone will agree but I, for one, appreciate it.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Some of the smaller businesses will call your previous employer as required. Your record is good for ten years. meaning those minor incidents will follow your attempts to drive professionally. as for as companies that hire drivers with smudges you can call around to some on TruckJobs.com or one of those 800-big rigs employment service. Then again this may be a sign it is time to look elsewhere. Non-Dot and start fresh. Look on the bright-side. You learned something valuable from your experience and can turn it too your favor.

Well smitty...no matter how you slice it...you had a lot of "incidents" in a short period of time...
And CondoCruiser is 110% correct in everything he said....roehl929 Thanks this. -

You've been given advice from several folks who have succeeded in this industry despite all the regulations, DAC, CSA 2010, company BS, etc...and you still don't get it.
And based on your replies here...I don't think you ever will.
Your trucking career was over before it started...because you failed to do one very simple thing...

Before you decide to purchase a truck, you might want to see if you can find a company that will lease you on. They have the same requirements for lease operators as drivers. The good companies want three years experience but some may be a year or less.
I don't know if they look at DAC, I doubt it. I don't know which, if any of these incidents will show up on your MVR or SMS. I don't know what they will find out when they check your references.
If you lease on, you will be running under their authority and insurance, they will want to check you out pretty well. -
I have nothing to add to this thread other than I just ate for free thanks to my loves rewards card.
Injun and lostNfound Thank this. -
12345 was talking about 10,9,8,7,6,5.. being his brother. If you re-read the post he was replying to it makes more sense.
"He ain't heavy" obviously is a nod to the musical lyric. -
Yep. Sometimes I'm a bit slow on the uptake.
I'll admit it.
