hmmmm, dont really think i'm gonna stick anything out here considering i know for a fact i can find someone who will put me to work all i want consistently. Theres a lot of stuff goin on here i cant talk about, doesnt mean its bad, just not the right fit for me if this trend continues further, i'm tryin to make my money as soon as possible and get the hell out of here, every hour i dont get is one more our i got to stay, i love the oil field and my job but i love life more, theres a big world out there and i want to enjoy life.

so tomorrow i get paid, i worked 142 hours this check, i'll be very interested in seeing how much i made. My plan is to save a grand a week, so if i can still do that comfortably with that sort of check, then i totally wont mind what hours i get around here, definately at a cross roads here, we'll find out tomorrow. Its all about making adjustments for me here, i certainly dont want to leave nabors if i can help it, i dont want to start over some where else just for the sake of hours, its all about the money for me. saving a grand a week for me is easy, so whatever hours more i get is just a bonus.

i been definately slowing down a bit but i gobble the hours when they come, i dont go out of my way for hours any more because its been too much of a hassle and i need my sleep. However, if the hours are there, i'll always take them, to me its 50/50 now, if its there then screw the sleep and if not, go home, drink a beer and hit the sack......but thats only into my shift and not before it. The other day i was told my truck would be ready and come in at 4, the truck wasnt ready and do you think anyone told me? do i get paid for that? hell no. I wake up a few hours early for nothing, this isnt the first time but its definately the last. Of course i went back home and i felt tired and run down, nothing new and that dont bother me, but i get home and cant sleep which really sucks, then start my shift at 6 and felt like crap.

these are some of the challenges out here but its totally worth it, bein part of the oil field is really the coolest job ive ever had and i really love it.

Are you paid weekly or bi weekly? Paulcouto, I would just move on. You don't need a reason, but if you do...I have one. Life is too darn short and we need all the money we can get our hands on now while we are able to still physically able to earn it.

    ###### Nabors! Give Paul his hours and get your act together!! Hang in there man! Paul, do you or anyone else know if the offices for Nabors, Thomas or any of the others are open on the weekend? I'm looking to fill out applications and I don't want to waste time going if the HR people aren't there. Thanks!

With CSA 2010 the rig now waits...and it will. Most companies simply will not allow you to violate H.O.S. rules anymore. At least most "good" companies. BTW, that's why the big push is on for the "dually" rigs. BUT, our wonderful wizards in the GOV are getting ready to slam them just like they are slamming us. They are getting ready to begin pushing logging in ANY commercial vehicle, no matter the weight rating. Chew on that fat for a while folks. :biggrin_2553:
