    Is that an actual book/guide??? I have not seen a guide called;
    "The Interstate Truck Drivers Guide to HOS Document"... Not calling you a liar,,just want more info..

    Very awesome thread all,,,thanks VERY Fricken much...

    SNI will NOT, I repeat, NOT! let you use the split burth rule... USX teaches it and tells you it is OK to use it... the guy that explained it in orientation, did a bang up job, pictures and everything...LOL I just didn't write a #### thing down,,to interested in what he was saying...

    The key to your success, if you drive for a decent company, is knowledge. Understand the regulations that govern you. Ask a lot of questions, read everything you can get your hands on (and don't listen to that guy in the drivers lounge)

    While it's true that it does not matter what rest period you take first, the 2 hour period will count against your 14 hour clock. Taking the 2 hour break first will not stop the clock. The only way to stop the clock during a 8-2 split is to log 8 consecutive hours of sleeper birth.
