Go back to my the begining message of this thread, I am attending Houston Community College in Houston, Tx. I graduate Friday. I have no earthly idea why the comany accepted my classmates application and turned down my app, I don't really care. I have other companies that have given me offers. Besides, most companies will not give you the reason why they turned your application down. The company, I will NOT give the company's name, that accepted my classmate (who is a felon 3+ months out of the pen) as a pre-hire.... so when we graduate next later this week all he'll need to do is is contact the trucking company and they'll send him a bus ticket to thier HQ and he'll start orientation. Going to orientation doesn't mean your fully hired. Plus he's not going to be able to take the out of state orientation/training since he is on parole and can not leave the state for like 6 months or so. My classmate, who may or may not have done what he was convicted of is a good guy, an honest person. He walks a straight and very narrow path. He's keeping is nose clean - he's told me several times that "they" scarred him and straightened him out. I wish him all the best of luck, the prison system did it's job and reformed a convicted felon. He's working towards a bettwe life.
