Hey Intrepidman, Get on Craigslist TX and look in San Antonio, midland-Odessa, Victoria for Transport jobs. Their are lots of ads for drivers. My son is in El Paso and they had a lot of trouble with snow in NM on I-10 a little while back but it should be an easy trip.

what,z a good GPS for the oil patchs in Texas...will be starting CDL... class at CNMCC on 01/09/2012 and will have my CDL by 04/28/2012 then heading to the Midland /Odessa Tx. area looking to get on with Baker Hughes,Hallibuton,Key Energy,Sentinel, becouse these companys operate in other states, and I would be able to move and still stay with the same company....any advice about getting into the oil patch ( endorment, tools, boots, pc,s laptop or table, gps, ect....) any thing you can think of... would be of help... won,nt have much money when I get there other then to put gas in my truck to Knock on doors...hit my first four on my list then take whom every I can get on with.....but I thought I,ed try to got on with them (my first four ) first.....

lived in NewMexico for the last 30yr.... I just feel I NEED! a change of state.....Hobbs is still in the land of entrapment.....cdl classes start next Monday... feels like x-mas to me...just hope business still be boom,n when I brake out..
