Staffing agencies typically have cheap paying work.

The only good thing about them may be that when your services are no longer required at one place they can usually place you immediately at another job.

It's smart to use every resource you can to find a job. It's dumb to use all the resources to just find a job. IOWs, make a list of what you want out of a job and then get out there and get as close as you can to it. That includes face to face interviews too.

Your list should include what kind of future you want and where you expect to be in a time line. Figure it all the way out till it's time you can not drive anymore. You want the best investments for the future just as well as the best pay you get now. Sit down and try to think of all the needs you want then try to think how you can get in touch with the goals. You's be surprised on how many different paths you can take when you stop looking at one way a recruiter whats you to believe.

Being in Texas, what are your thoughts on working in the oil industry?

I am reading that they are pretty desperate for drivers right now. I know they will hire inexperienced drivers, but I wonder what the general policy is about school... Do they care? Or is a license a license as far as they are concerned?

My Guess Is Just As Good As Yours, I Have Heard There Are Companies That Are Willing To Hire Anyone (Frac/Sand/water Companies). I Just Don't want To Work 3 to 4 Weeks On And 4 Days Off, Thats Basically Living To Work :biggrin_25523:
