Hi...
I would like to know about any companies hiring no matter your driving record or your DAC resport. How long does your tickets stay in your record??? I heard some states is till 7 years but I thought its usually 3.
My other question does it matter if I have my own truck to find some company who wants to give me loads????

If you can get yourself insured then being a owner operator should be no problem, most big places won,t hire, you to drive there stuff because of insurance, at least thats my undetstanding, you might want to post details of your dmv report that would give us a better ideal on how to help you procede. But freight should not be a problem unless you lose loads often.

First what is a "bad driving record" and how bad is it? Second, if its bad enough that companies won't hire you, perhaps you're not a good driver and therefore should find another career choice. Personally, I have to do enough defensive driving these days that I greatly appreciate companies NOT hiring those who obviously don't take their profession seriously.
I'm not trying to be mean, but not everyone is cut out to drive professionally. An individual with a "bad driving record" is likely not a professional in the first place. -
Well..i don't think a bad driving record means you are not a professional...thats a bit prejudice....your best bet is to spend a couple of hours filling out online applications with numerous trucking companies....try the large ones like Werner, CRST and CR Englund....they are the proverbial 'bottom feeders'....but, they are successful companies who might be willing to overlook a couple minor violations...good luck and don't get discouraged about your dream just because of a couple haters

My lead foot kept me from US and Roehl. Any speed ticket over 15 gets you an exclusion from CDL for 3 1/2 years after offense. I had 2. When you pull your MVR it will tell you are under exclusion ore not. As for DUI/DWI I think those are even harder to overcome.

Eh, I'm pretty sure getting hired to drive is a little different than applying for a "no credit, bad credit, any credit" loan. Rent-a-Center might approve you for a couch, but fortunately when it comes to operating a vehicle there are at least some standards. If your driving record is that atrocious, maybe you need to look at other career choices.Red Hot Mess Thanks this. -
