    OK so I got in contact with a water hauling Co. in WY that will hire me...
    Would be hauling 150bbl tank to and from the drill site. fill at a well in town, and dump in the "pit" repeat.

    Ok so this sounds cool at first, but the only apparent training is " hop in the truck, fill it, dump it repeat...."

    Pay is in the 24/hr range, as a subcontractor on call 24/7. Should i take this just to get the oilfield/ tanker experience and pray I survive the process? or should I pretend I never got the offer? Im new, is this as sketch as it sounds, or buisness as usual?

    Well you could always go live in a big plastic Freightliner, see your family once a month and bring home $350 a week. If thats what you want, I mean.

    Go for it. True that it may not be exactly what you want, but it will give you experience. If you survive it. And you probably will. Everyone of us had to learn some time. I had a total of one run from St. George, UT to Sugar City, ID and back as my "training" after school.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Don't go for it. You have completed your schooling, so you should get on with a training company and get a few years OTR under your belt so you can get a local gig.
    The choice is sort of up to you. I think if it was me, I'd go for it though.
    I got tired of all the bad information on here. Look at you, youre still in school from what it sounds like and have already been offered a local job. According to most of the people on here, thats impossible. You have to do 2 years OTR before local companies will even look at you, right TTR?
