Wonder if anyone has completed their college degree while on the road. The masters program I was thinking of applying for is online. I realize that I will time off to complete work I am just not sure if it the times are too erratic to complete such a task

My wifey does online classes and I really can't see her doing it on the road since she still has to occasionally take tests in school and when she needs help with something it is much easier to go into someplace where others are studying the same thing.

Ill have to look into the program with more detail, but it appears that I wont need to attend anything in person until I am deeper into the program.

Zoltan, I'm attending online courses through SNHU's undergraduate programs, and absolutely love it! That said, I don't think I would reccommend it for OTR drivers, just because my school has attendence requirements that would be all but impossible some weeks, due to spotty internet service.
However, if you can find a way around the internet connection problem, go for it! With the way trucking is going these days, you may need that master's degree to provide a source of income down the road. -
an hour during the day while the truckstop parking lot is empty is a pretty good connection usually LOL
peteyZoltan1a Thanks this. -
I was thinking with the technology of today I would be able to complete it and plan accordingly. Ill apply for the spring semester of next year so I will have 6 months of driving under my belt to get it all situated.

Drivers getting business degrees isn't a bad idea in some sort of business management..especially if they want to make the jump to owner operator or independent owner operator down the road.
Its not a required..but when going t get that truck note ad you have a business plan to show the bank ad all the i's are dotted and t's crossed with profit and loss margins etc..they are impressed..you still may not get the loan for the truck but they are still impressed LOL
PeteyZoltan1a Thanks this.
