crapping on the road

sometimes i get irritable bowell syndrome where i need to run to find a toilet to sit on for a few minits. do many cabs have toilets in the back? if not, then i guess you can pull to the side of the road and go into the woods.

cabs don't generally have toilets, owner operators with the fancy custom cabs have toilets sometimes and even showers. find a safe place to pull over and do your deal. pulling to the side of the road is illegal in some states unless its an emergency. When I was in L.A. I made the mistake of eating a pre-heated breakfast sandwich at the truck stop before making my delivery, when I arrived with load of chicken, the tyson warehouse was closed, I parked the truck and jumped out to find a place to relieve my upset stomach, it was an emergency in my eyes, I spotted a bridge and thought I could go under it, when I got closer I realized thats where 100's of homeless people had their tents, well, I didn't want to leave anything in their so called yard, so I ended up wedging myself between a pillar and fence. LOL so anyways, I had to hurry cuz I wasn't exactly the right color for the neighborHOOD. So anyways the moral of the story is, porta potty is beneficial and pre heated foods are not advisable especially the kind with egg in it.

ok haha good story.
that's very tough that you cann't pull over. with my condition it can be agonizingly painfull. basically i would just do it in my pants and deal with it, rather than hold it in. that's how bad it is.
what about a small bucket-type thing that you can put outside and sit on in an "emergency"? anyone you hear carry things like that?

yeah I have heard of people carrying things like that, I have also heard of people sitting on the axles of trailer to do their deal. the only dilemma I see, is doing that when with a trainer, 2 people in a truck is hard on its own, just pray your near a rest stop, so you can park it and run to the bathroom without discomforting your co driver/ trainer.

Wall Mart sells a small plastic bucket/toilet in there camping section. I carry it in the tool trailer and use it on the farm once and awhile when I miles from home. I put a plastic garbage bag in it and then dispose of the waste later.

I being former military like to be prepared for anything. I like to act instead of having to react. I was a solo driver. I carried a 5 gal bucket with a heavy contruction bag in it. You can put sawdust or newspaper in the bottom to help absorb. It had a secure lid. I kept it under my bunk in case of a green apple quick steps attack. I never had to use it, but I had it if I needed it. Point is I had a fall back plan. If you are solo and something happens, broke down somewhere, raining, bad traffic, something to keep you from making your uh load drop somewhere on time. Nice to have a fallback. I have had to hurry and make a pit stop in a truck stop and hope I did not have to make hotlaps looking for a parking spot. If you are running teams you can bail and make the mad dash while the co driver parks the truck. Tip to new drivers, if you eat at a truckstop, might want to wait around for a few before you hit the open road!
