You know you are a professional driver when...
I remember the first time I had home time after being out for a few months felt really strange lol. I finally decided to create a topic about it. Here are some true things that happened to me. You know you are a trucker when:
1. You forget that you have to clean your own bathroom after using it
2. You keep tapping the visor in your car to turn on the overhead light
3. You keep baby wipes and a clipboard in your car and wonder how you managed without them before
4. You still eat at truck stops during your home time
5. When in your car you expect other truckers to know that you are one of them
6. You stay in the right lane even in your car
7. You get really nervous when you go under a low bridge in your car
8. You realize how tiny the mirrors are in your car
9. It is a lot harder backing up in a car than before you became a trucker
10. You look for your gloves before grabbing the nozzle to put gas in your car
Feel free to add more

When you wonder why the jake didn't come on in your pick up truck.
Or swing wide on a right turn.

When your driving a sports car and get pulled over by a cop for squaring off your turns, thinking your drunk.
Then he takes one look at your license laughs and lets you go.

I can't tell you how many times I reach for my CB in my car. I also can't break the habit of turning the key to ON and then waiting a few seconds before cranking. Feel like an idiot every time I do that in my car.

You follow traffic rules, even in your car.
You don't roll through stop signs in your car.
You're courteous while driving your car.
You don't talk on your cell phone while driving your car.

Just plain feels funny when you are jump in your car after months on the road. Feels confined, low to the ground. Feels as if you can't see anything!
Feels good though to cruise by a D.O.T. car and have no worries! All the other four-wheelers nail their brakes not knowing the difference between a D.O.T. cop and regular bear!
Good post NewNash and some good responses!
