Nice! So you're from Charlotte too huh?
Conover is still some 50 miles from where I live though, I'm looking for a closer trucking company, but if watkins shepard is very good then I will definitely try to get in, they take student fresh off trucking school right? And start making $40000-$50000 as a student? Also, are they hard to get into? Do they have APU?

    Thanks

your going to be a truck driver, if you cant handle 50 miles you might wanna look for another career lol. Yes they hire student drivers, some trucks have APU's, and $40-$50k is easy 1st year. Easy to get on with them too, call a recruiter

lol, it's not that I can't handle 50 miles, it's just driving my car to the company will waste my own fuel, I was trying to find out if there's closer trucking company so when I get to work I don't have to drive as far so my fuel expense go up. Or if the company let me take the truck home.
Do you still work for that company? How long have you been with them and how do they give raise?
    Thanks

Check the location of the Con-way Freight terminal nearest you. Be home everyday and sleep in your own bed, and make more than what others promise.
