    My first trainer was a chain smoker. He would light one off of the one he was finishing. Then when I was driving and he was suppose to be sleeping he would be on the phone for hours. Hmmm kinda sounds like team driving to me! Then when it was his turn to drive he would stop a lot and screw around and tell dm that trainee is causing him to be late. The boy was not too bright, electronic logs told the story.
    Looking forward to hearing about you going solo.

    I have owned cats before but I think even I would have issues with them in such a closed space. You said "cats", meaning more than one?

    So, the school instructors forgot to mention you may end up in a slobs truck, apparently. Well, life's a %*&^% sometimes, but , like Jerry Butler sang about in 1960, "only the strong survive". And I sense YOU are strong and you'll survive this little merriment currently happening to you. So, stick it out, and don't let us down....YOU CAN DO IT !

    Mentor has a dirty truck, had cats in it.. I have asthma and it is killing me. I use an inhaler 1x a day at home. While in this truck I am now up to 3x a day. I feel sooo sick and don't know what to do.

    My DM was so mad I asked, because he is mentor #2. My 1st mentor told me I had to go to the bathroom outside in the woods, or she would get me a 5 gallon bucket... so I got off her truck..
    Now when I asked to get off this truck he made a huge deal about even asking, said he would call back never did..nor did he return any of my calls!
    About time says call safety so do it.It's plain to see your DM does not care.You should'nt have to put up with a dirty trk and getting sick because of it.You've already put in alot of hrs with traing,if you quit now you'll have to go thru training all over with another company.I think calling saftey would be the right thing to do,they do something.

    Truck

    yup i see nothen has changed since the 1990's when i started , dirty-rude trainers truck's, look like i'm in for a fun ride when i go with swift, just wondering if you could go the rest of your time on a driving simulator, just a thought i had , be worth a shot too ask, anyway, he mayby getting you ready for the real world of trucking, some people live like pig's why i don't know, but on the other hand when you go in a warehouse too load or unload , you will come across smell's ,you never dream about, like the that tuna factory in San Frisco , that will wake you up, or wet tree sappling's at the south state's that smell's like wet , well, um , like it's bad.stuff like that, maybe he was getting you used to it.my truck was detailed every week or when i got back too the yard, as the yard was on one shipping lane's, i like a clean truck, even tho my company i work'ed for last time, didnt any truck's when they hired me, i dragged out the junk row and began too rebuild it, somebody tore off the right flaring, drove it a few weeks like that , it was a nice truck, then routed me back in a put it on , off anthor one

    Hi pjay ! Hope you're doin' just fine wherever this lifestyle has you drivin'.... Well, just wanted to be friendly and say I'm rootin' you on from Minnesota. If you're able to pull through this obscene circumstance you will be a great encouragement to many new drivers for years to come. As someone who has not even begun CDL training yet, there is a lot I'm concerned about with this sort of work. But having the knowledge that someone has persevered will help.

    I'd go find some urine bombs to empty out in the sleeper on your last day. That will make them clean the truck.
