To my knowledge this forum is for people to ask questions and talk about trucking companies, so why when someone post a question you super truckers like to totally avoid it and bash them about something. Yall act like yall woke up one morning and became a trucker over night. Give us a break we are here to learn not to be made fun of or take a defensive internet course.( because half the people here are internet gangsters. What happen to no question is a dumb question. Most of these veteran ##### holes probably don't even drive no more. GIVE THE NEW DRIVERS AND PEOPLE TO THIS FORUM A BREAK PLEASE. IF YALL WAS TO SEE SOMEONE FROM THE SITE AND YOU EXCHANGED WORDS YOU WOULDN'T FIGHT THEM.ITS clear to see that you old people would rather call 911 if you got into a altercation for being a internet gangster. Now ill wait and read all the response from the Super Truckers out there. It should be interesting.

I can't imagine why those old super truckers would give you any trouble.

The worst thing a "super trucker" can do is sugar-coat crap and tell them it's a cookie. There are plenty here who do make unnecessarily crude comments and replies but they are out there in the truckstops too. If the new trucker and students can't take it here, they can't take it out there. I'm not condoning this behavior but there are a lot of dicks here but you confuse dicks with "super truckers". BTW, there are no "super truckers", only super trucker wannabe's. FWIW, most of the derogatory comments are in response to subsequent responses and the thread loses it's identity and is no longer directed to the OP or about the subject of the OP.

This OP didn't like the fact that we took issue with his blanket statement about truckers being drug users............so now the whining begins.

I've been floating around these forums for some time now, and you're right Truckerman - there are some drivers on here that can be abit crass. However, for the most part once you get past the grief, there is sensible information to be taken in. If you're interested in getting high (whether it be synthetic or otherwise), then chances are the trucking industry isn't the best place to look. There are drivers out there that smoke K-2, Spice, and probably snort bath salts, that's them. They're wrong, bottom line. However, you get bad seeds in all industries, there was (and still is) a huge problem with drug use in the army, prescriptions, spice, bath salts, the real stuff too. Does that mean that all of us do it? No. That means a few people out of many do the wrong thing; this can be applied to the trucking industry is well.

All I'm saying is, take criticism for what it's worth. Take the good advice and leave the rest behind. If you're doing the right thing then the rest will follow. For those that aren't, eventually it'll catch up to them, whether it's a random drug test or a random ditch. Personally, I'd rather a drug test than a ditch catch a user, new driver or old.

Some truckers are drug users. Drug dealers wouldn't be at the truck stop if truckers didn't get high. I'm not whining because none of your shananigans don't bother me. All I know is if someone has a problem about what I post or say d something about it.

I second that Elendil. Just search his recent posts, they are all about drivers doing drugs among other lewd behavior he has stereotyped with truck drivers.. He can't take the same type of criticism that he dishes out, and by my guess won't last long here on the road.

Relax, TruckmanD, I'm a Mod here and will be glad to help you or anyone on the forum. But let me say a few things about the biz. Trucking is a rough and tumble biz. It will take you years to get your dues paid and earn some respect. If this biz is for you, you will be around 10, 20 or more years from now. You will get chewed up and spit out more than a few times. This is what separates the men from the boys. Trucking is serious business. Expensive trucks, expensive payloads, BIG responsibilities come with the territory. I say this ALL the time....NO WIMPS ALLOWED. Now me and a few million other experienced hands that have driven a few million miles with no blemishes on our records and done so safely and have gotten the job done, know it's possible. Yeah, we're proud, because we know not everyone can do it. We know nobody needs to get high to do this job, nobody needs to act like an idiot behind the wheel, we know how to manage our time and be courteous to traffic and sensible.

Yeah, there's a ton of immature drivers out there, CB rambos, know-it-alls, truck stop cowboys etc, but what can you do ? I will tell you this, if anyone gets on here and insinuates that they do drugs and are trying to beat the system in order to drive will be lambasted, and real quick, by forum members. We don't want druggies behind the wheel on the same roads we drive on. And I apologize for the forum members that give you or any newb a hard time when asking questions about the biz. Luck to ya' and keep us posted about your adventures.

Here's a legitimate question. When it comes to drug users, this entire forum is quick to jump on them and say how they don't belong in this.industry and how people should follow the rules, yet those same people cry about EOBR's and glorify running multiple log books...

What's the difference? Unsafe and illegal fits in both categories but one is considered ok..
