Any of you guys drive flatbed in ohio. I see alot of ads from companies hiring students around me with good pay and good hometime. So this make me ask whats wrong! I know some guys dont want to do any labor or get dirty but is flat bedding that bad?

    Thanks

depending on where you live in ohio, look up homerun inc. local out of the dayton area, not sure if they hire students, but I know someone that drives for them, he gets home every weekend.

Flatbedding isn't for everyone and not everyone enjoys the thought of getting dirty and tarping and chaining and strapping. If you do, go for it. I love flatbedding.

Treefork nailed it. Also add into the challenges during long cold winters or hot scorching summers, and there are many drivers that don't think it's worth the little extra they get. Personally, there's nothing I'd haul other than an open deck trailer at this point in my career.
