Tankstar USA/Schwerman Does anyone have information about Tankstar USA/Schwerman? Still trying to do research to make a final decision about my driving career. They are hiring in San Antonio and wanted to know the pros and cons with the company. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated

I do know for a FACT that the Tankstar USA outfits in TX are having DOT problems. Racking their CSA score up.
Know what happens when you have a high CSA score?
Google "CSA Score".
You get pulled over by DOT more and scrutinized at scales per your DOT number.
If it's the same insurance plans as the one I'm familiar with through another Tankstar USA terminal, it stinks. High deductible. A list of Dr's you must use.
Pay? I hope it's better than said terminal I'm familiar with. Horrible.
And yeah, you may be home every night. To take a shower, eat, then go to bed. Unless...
You have on call days... then your pay sucks more but you have more "home time".

I've forgotten all about them. My friend told me how they advised him there was plenty of work, they need drivers immediately, will do training, they hire recent grads, desperate to hire, etc. Gave my friend and application and asked him if he could come back the next morning. He, like me, recently graduated. We both have endorsements. However, he is male....I am female. I go there to put in an application 2 days later and guess what? I was told that you had to have at least 1 year experience & they really don't hire recent grads.
The guy said they MAY consider new graduates and I could fill out an application. Then refused to give me the application. He showed it to me and talked about how thick it was....then stated it would be better if I filled one out online.
Did I tell him that he was a bold face liar? No. Did I ask him why the different treatment for my friend? No. I maintained my professionalism, thanked him and walked out. Their loss not mine. There are plenty of other companies out there to work for rather than be worried/worked up over 1.

Well I will start with Tankstar on the 10th of September! Been trying to do research on the company, just found very little info...I hope i like the company! The terminal manager told me I will start with a trainer for about two weeks and then I'm on my own! Benefits and pay seems to be great!
