Not at all..I'm 46 and got into it at 37. There are people in their late 50's and early 60's just getting into driving after the former careers.

I'm 43. Drove for 12 years was out for 10 and now going back. I start with Swift next Monday. You're only too old if you feel too old.

Not too old and not uncommon. At 39 I was in the bottom half of my class age wise.

Good heavens NO! You are still a young man, and you should have a LOT of productive years left in you. I got into it after retiring from law enforcement, and drove for about 12 years. Would still be doing it, if I was physically able.
There are a lot of folks who got into this game much older than either one of us! I think, in a way, it is a bit easier if you are a little older. You are more settled down, have more life experience, and are likely to be a safer driver.
Good luck and keep us posted on what is going on with you!

42 is FAR from being too old for trucking.
