Radar Detector?
How much trouble do you get in if you get caught with a radar detector in your truck? How many points? Mine is supposed to have something in to jam the signal of them detecting that I have one, but I don't think I want to rely on that.
Maybe I could stuff it down my pants before he makes it to the cab

Here's an idea, drive the speed limit and don't worry about it

Get caught with one and they could "LIKELY" take it depending on which state you are in, fines vary depending on where your caught.

Forget the radar detectors. They were fun, back when the speed limits were 55 every where and it wasn't hard to get a cop to run front door. But, those days are long ago over.

here is a tad bit of reality i'm going to share with u; for starters the officer already knows u have a radar detector before he pulls u over because the detector sends a signal back to the radar that tells u have 1, 2nd a radar detector is only something that will let u know that u are fixing to get a ticket, fine's for them aren't cheap, points i don't know, & the officer will do 1 of 2 things, take it from u along with a fine or destroy it (put it under ur tire & have u run over it) with a fine there also. trust me, more than likely ur truck won't go fast enough to get a ticket other than in a school zone, so why pay good money for something that isn't worth it? i only speak from experience, back in 1999 i spend almost $2000 on radar detectors til i finally learned to quit buying them lol

I'd love to have one as I run across 30 in OH everyday where the truck speed limit is 55 but it isn't worth it.

Not true. Both Beltronics and Escort make completely undetectable detectors. There has been quantum leaps in detector quality since 1999.The old adage that you get exactly what you pay for is very true regarding radar detectors. You guys truly neeed to do even miniscule research before posting such non truths.

no need to pout driver. You declared that the cop already knows that you have a detector before he pulls you over. That is simply not true.Even at scale houses with their ultra high dollar detector detectors, truly undetectable detectors ease thru undetected.say that backwards. I meant nothing by my rebuttal.I have thick skin after 24 years out here and do not take what another driver says to heart.
I apologise for phrasing it in the manner that upset you.
