Any way to shut off my engine fan?

Makes my rpms drop like a rock, really interferes with my shifting.

Doesn't this fan keep the engine cooler and from overheating.

No, no way to shut it off, you just have to compensate for it.

Find the fuse or relay but then it never comes on.

Better to have it running all the time than not running at all

Not being nasty to you but disable a fan on a truck and you should be dragged out and made to walk home, it would make it run hot and perhaps blow a head gasket or even burn the motor up. Not a good thing to do, just learn to drive it like everyone else does.

That's what I say if it is like on a car, we have had the fan fixed where it came on all the time just so as to not overheat an engine incase the thermostat got stuck.

Perhaps they should teach a course of what makes an engine tick in schools nowdays.

Very true but half of the billy bobs school of trucking those shake and bakes from trucking schools do not even check the oil in the trucks or change bulbs, empower them with more knowledge would not be a bad thing.

I agree with you but I've thought about making a switch to disable mine also. Nothing like washing/polishing a truck & trailer and in 2 seconds the fan in a dusty lot will totally screw up a shiny black curtain side.
