Schnieder Drivers: Electronics In Your Assigned Truck? I Think Im Going To Go With Schneider, I Call Then Today And The Recruiter Told Me, In So Many Words (Not Yes Or No), That Only People With Sleep Apnea Have Inverters. So My Question Is Do You Use/Have To Use 12v Everything Tv, Microwave, Dvd Player, Refrigerator... etc? Im Asking Because I Want To Deck-Out My Assigned Truck. Help Me With This One Because Its Somewhat Important To Me......Thanks

I recently quit working for their bulk division (after 3 years) and was told from the begining that you are NOT allowed to run an inverter, no matter what.

My only question is...
Why Do You Cap Every Single Word In A Sentence?
It is not proper, in any sense.

You can use an inverter that plugs into a cigarette lighter. You can get a list of what they don't allow. Good luck with the Pumpkin.

You can have an inverter but max size is like 180 or 300 watts. Don't remember exactly what size OS maximum. Sleep apnea guys get larger ones that schneider wires in. They just don't want guys burning down trucks with 4000 watt converters that they "hack into the wiring".

I dont get why carriers are afraid of power inverters. Run a 4 gauge power wire with a inline fuse off battery bank and a simple ground. If the inverter gets over worked the fuse will pop. They don't have to hack into anything and surely won't burn the truck down.

Most companies have their mechanics install the inverter. This just tells me that Schneider's mechanics are incompetent.
