DOT physical drug test??

does anyone know what kind of drug test the DOT give you when you go for your physical?? is it a urine test or hair folicle test?? from what ive been told its a urine test but id rather get the fact from you experienced truckers who would deffinitly know the answer. i dont know if varies from state to state but i live in new jersey. please anyone who knows i would appreciate the replies from you guys. thanks in advance

They both will. You pee for part of your DOT physical. Whether your potential employer will accept those results or just run their own varies company to company.

I had to do both. Physical and my company has a certified urine tester

the urine sample you give for your DOT physical is to test for sugars and other physical disorders. Has nothing to do with a "drug test".

Your company will pre-employement drug test you before you start driving. That is sent off to a lab for completion.

I have run into both types of drug test. Most companies send off your urine to a lab. I know that Transport America does the hair test. You should expect everything to show up so put the bong down.
