Try calling Schneider or somebody similar that offer training at "their company" not a trucking school.

Depending on the Felony is the main determining factor, the other is the age of the conviction. 5 years should be plenty of time for several companies to accept you. again that would depend on the severity of the conviction

Well wait for one of the moderators to come by and help you. I am pretty familiar with the trucking industry but not with felonies. I just don't know to much about them. At least not enough to where i could feel comfortable in advising somebody. I had an issue of driving fast when I was younger but never really got into any trouble, other then some huge speeding tickets.
Like I said a moderator will be around and they maybe able to help you

IF you go to the web site of the company your interested in you can probably find out there the policy for felons. I know my hubby's company will not hire anyone with a felony no matter how old.....with the ones you have listed I think your going to find it pretty hard to get anyone to hire you.....JMO

Most companies require at least 7 to 10 years old felonies and it depends on the type of crime committed.. there is something you can do to help your self for the future. Get a lawyer to help you get your past crimanal records expunged. Its like a pardon. It does take some time to get it done but after its all said and done you can legally put no on the applications for jobs. You are getting your criminal past erased from records. Just like starting all over. It will cost you close to 2000 to 3000 or more. Depends on the lawyer. It is worth doing.

Some will ask ever had a felony; no time frame. The ones that hurt the most are drug/ alcohol offenses, violent crimes, sexual related crimes. You have two of the ones that can be career killers. The assualt and poss. Having only one of them will make it rough for you. You have two. I seldom suggest this, but do not pay for your own schooling. Some school will tell you no problem. Thay will take your money and you won't have much luck finding work. You will be very limited on getting placed. If you do chances are the company will not be worth working for. Sorry to sound so gloom, but hate to see you invest in something that will probably lead you to the bottom of no where.
