| Need Help Choosing a Company! I posted earlier giving 3 companies to choose from and didnt get alot of responses. I did get one saying not to drive for Knight Transportation but thats about it. Ive got about 9 whole months of OTR experience which I got with the CRST people driving those godforsaken teams. I gave them my notice and Ive been home trying to find a halfway decent company to work for. Im not looking for a specific run to get me home alot as I have my house rented out until the end of the year. The way I see it is since my house is rented then Ive got 10 months left before I will be seeking something with more hometime but for now I just want to make as much money as possible since my bills are almost nil. Its the perfect scenario to save money with someone else paying the housenote and utilities. Ive contacted some good companies but dont have the 12 months needed to work there such as Wagoneers and some more. I got with Crete but they want to put me in the truck with another trainer for up to 8 weeks and pay me 500 a week which after taxes will only give me 350 or so. Another good company said since i had a rear end accident over 2 yrs old , i had to wait 5 yrs after the accident to apply. So far Ive applied to and sent documents to Knight, Sitton and one more I cant remember off the top of my head. I would appreciate any comments and advice or knowledge about your opinion to which are some of the best companies that will hire me with 9 months experience. I have a good driving record, no felonies, no misdemeanors, good work history, etc so thats not a problem. Well, anything you have to let me in on will be read and appreciated. Good Night! STEVEYB |

| drive55cat, In your thread listed as "you have options" you stated that asking the proper questions that you were able to produce a list of trucking companies that was nine pages of four colums, most of whom listed their requirements and bennies right on the page. Can you be more specific on how you did this EXACTLY? I would like to do this kind of comparison of companies of what they are offering! You must have found a very good way to do this. PLEASE HELP ON HOW TO DO THIS! Best Regards, Short Stack

| Drive55 wasn't referring to anything on *this* website. I *think* he was referring to sites where you fill out a general, online, application, and it filters down to companies that fit the bill. appearently, the downside, is that you're going to get calls from recruiters for the rest of your life offering you 15 cpm, all the home-time you can stand, and all you have to do, is pay for your own truck, and gas. |

| options Steve, what ya gotta do is query trucks, look at what you get. Then query truck companies, look at what you get. I inquired about flatbed companies that are hiring, because that's what I wanted to do. I can tell you exactly what I did but I do not think they will let it go through on this site. I may be able to give you some hints though, bubba is a friend of mine, he sell's junk. PS if you can reply right away I may be able to resond today yet. drive55cat |
