CSA score card, what is it and how do I obtain one?

I'm about to start my final week at the truck driving academy, a local company I am interested in are needing drivers and will accept students. One of their requirements is Must have an acceptable CSA score card. How do I get this card being a new CDL holder? Any help with this is greatly appreciated!

You, as a new Driver, have NO infractions in a commercial vehicle. Which equals an "acceptable CSA score". You do not need to obtain a "score card". That company will check it out, if needed.

Drivers don't have a CSA record, they have a PSP.

Or, you can file a FOIA request and get the same information for free.

Or, you can keep a record of your own inspection reports and look up the point values of the "violations" you have been warned or cited for. Multiply by the time factor associated with the age of the violation, and figure out your own score.

Personally, I see no reason to pay any of my hard-earned money to have somebody tell me what I can find out for free.

If you are a new driver, you don't have a CSA score. Don't worry about it since you obviousle have an acceptable score. Your CSA score comes from roadside inspections, and problems found with you or your equipment during the inspections. You are assigned points for problems, and the points are a different value for each thing, depending what it is. Since you never had a roadside inspection, you have no points. Good luck with your new career. It's served me well for over 35 years.
