I've never driven for one of the mega's, I'm self taught, so I only know from the horror stories on here. with a smaller co. I'm told here's the load go get it and take it here. My choice how and route, where to fuel, ect. Told them from day 1 I drve legal so NO mad push over hours for that hot load b/s. if I'm late before I'm dispatched, well it's late being delivered.lol.

point is , it is what you make of it. If you put of with crap, you'll be given crap. same with the office jobs I used to have.

Good post. The big company rarely cares. I did that, got my experience and found a good job with a smaller carrier. However, there are a lot of clowns in this industry, when you present yourself like a clown (in word & deed) companies will treat you like a clown. It's that simple. Compensation reflects your ability and attitude. It does not happen over nite, but good money Is out there.

Isn't everything??? The folks you find on here making statements that are so ridiculous regarding pay, treatment, etc... most times you will find, after reading a little further, they're typically clowns. You know, screaming at the rain because they don't understand it and wanting you to be afraid of it too.

Do your own due diligence.....TTR is a good source, but not the end all.
